Prism
Sound Laboratories is a small recording studio located
in Gothenburg, Sweden.
It is
driven by me, Daniel Muhr, and is aimed primarily at producing
small projects that don't require all the space big time recording
studios offer (and charge you for).
The studio
is suited for one or two person projects.

I
currently work for ORCA
and Ljudimperiet.
ORCA specializes in giving education in Pro Tools, Cubase,
Logic and Reason.
We also give a twelve week long education i music production
mainly focusing
on song writing, acoustic recording, mix, remix, post production
and mastering.
Ljudimperiet is swedens first chain of studios scattered all
around this country.
I also work with a swedish music community, upSweden,
that I find truly amazing!
Prism
Sound Laboratories was first started as a home for
the project "Mindwarp", a psy/goa theme driven by me (Daniel
Muhr)
and Magnus Alakangas. We started out in the northern parts
of Sweden
(Piteå to be more exact) in the environment of sound
engineering at
Piteå School of Music.
As you probably know, psy/goa is music that contains lots
and
lots of synthesizers, and therefore it was pretty natural
to start
out in the computerized domain since it is alot cheaper than
real hardware.
I'm sorry to say this, but there still is a difference
in sound quality if
you compare software and hardware. The software sound is so
much "flatter" than its opposite, and we therefore started
collecting
as much hardware as we could. Magnus was after a year offered
a
job at Hector
Media in Stockholm, so now I run this by myself.
